THE MANAGEMENT AND ASSESSMENT OF ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS

Designed to give the Acupuncturist a working model of assessing and managing common orthopaedic conditions through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Clinical Reasoning process. Anatomy, biomechanics, manual techniques, and exercise interventions will be explored enabling the treating clinician to improve upon their knowledge of western diagnostic and management strategies.

  • Develop a working framework of Assessment andManagement of common orthopaedic conditions.
  • Improve upon western assessment of common orthopaedic conditions through combining clinical reasoning with Traditional Chinese Medical Theory.
  • Develop a better understanding of common patterns of imbalance seen in common orthopaedic conditions.
  • Improve upon manual skills and exercise design for common orthopaedic conditions.
